The Pigeon Finds a Hot Dog-also a simple and sparsely illustrated story-explores the flip side of that coin, exposing the poker-face persuasive powers of young negotiators. The pigeon just wants to greedily eat the hot dog that he's found: 'Oooooh! Then along comes the duckling, 'scooty scoot scoot!' Your objective is to grab a hot dog, a key, a stuffed rabbit and a driver's license (with the pigeon's face on it, oddly enough) and go back to the Bus Depot to win the game. Unfortunately, this game, while it has an interesting premise, is flawed. The Pigeon Finds a Hot Dog! When The Pigeon finds a delicious hot dog, he can hardly wait to shove the entire thing in his beak. Then a very sly and hungry duckling enters the scene and wants a bite. Who will be the more clever bird?

It’s a medium, bright fuchsia with blue undertones.I got about 7 hours of wear with this Lip Pencil before it started to fade at all and like Embrace Me Lipstick, it left a stain for an additional hour or more. As with other MAC Lip Pencils, it’s a dry type of liner, so it glides on most easily and wears best when applied over something like Prep + Prime Lip. It’s not so dry that it tugs, though, so it will still apply well even by itself.Embrace Me Lip Pencil probably looks pretty familiar to you by now It’s been released in the past with numerous collections including Beth Ditto, Tour de Fabulous, Iris Apfel, and most recently with the Strength collection in December of 2012. What mac liner goes with pink pigeon tn. Hopefully they just keep it around and make it permanent this time!

This Pigeon Finds A Hot Dog storytime inspired treats post is courtesy of our contributor Chantelle of Dolled Up Design…I love parties inspired by books. There is so much inspiration to be found in your child’s favourite book and it can be easy to plan a whole party around one favorite book, like I did with my son’s Go, Dog! Go Party, or to draw inspiration for games, treats and decorations from a series of books. My kid’s party themes usually come from their favorite tv or movie characters, but when there is an opportunity to theme a party or treats around a storybook character I gladly jump at the opportunity.
My kids don’t go to bed without a nightly bedtime story. We have a large and ever-growing book collection, and there have been a few favorites that have stuck out and been read repeatedly. My son was introduced to the author Mo Willems in his kindergarten class this past year and the Pigeon and Elephant & Piggie books quickly became part of our regular rotation. So, when it came time to bring a snack in for the Kindergarten class, a treat themed after these books and characters seemed a natural choice.
The Pigeon Finds a Hot Dog:
I came across candy coated Oreo’s on Pinterest that looked like the Pigeon character they had been studying, and I knew they would pair perfectly with shortbread hotdogs just like in the Mo Willem’s book The Pigeon Finds A Hot Dog!
To make the Pigeon Oreo’s, I began by creating the eyes. To do this, I laid white candy wafers on a parchment lined baking sheet and melted them slightly in a preheated 200 degree oven for 4 minutes. Once they were soft, I carefully placed a brown chocolate Smartie into the center of each and then allowed them to harden again.
To prepare the beaks, I simply cut yellow candy wafers in half and then opened up the two halves to create the beak shape. Game pigeon hacks poker real money. I spread these apart on parchment paper in preparation for the coated Oreo’s I would be placing on top.
Once my blue candy wafers were melted, I began dipping the Golden Oreo’s. After each cookie was fully coated I lifted it out with two forks and then carefully placed it on one of the prepared beaks. I finished it off by placing my white candy wafer and brown Smartie eyes in the center.
For the hot dog cookies, I followed this easy recipe from Taste of Home. Once they were finished off with a drizzle of yellow royal icing “mustard”, they looked just like the hot dog in the book.
Pigeon Hot Dog Game
I loved the way the final product looked packaged in small cellophane bags and ready for my excited little kindergartner to hand out to his class.
These were a perfect class treat, but would also be great party favors for a Mo Willem’s book themed party. For more great treats and party ideas inspired by the storybook characters of Mo Willems, be sure to visit my Pinterest board.
